Trans Pulse Survey Response
From the Trans Pulse survey people, regarding my letter asking how one can get survey codes if one doesn't know someone who's already taken the survy:
*~*~*~*~*
To fill out the survey, you will be approached by another trans person who has already filled it out. They will provide you with a ticket number and instructions on how to access the survey online, and who to contact if you would prefer a paper and pencil copy of the survey.
The new methods we’re using to distribute the questionnaire are very specific in their instructions for how the survey gets passed along and to whom. To be counted in the final results of the survey you will need to have been asked by someone else to fill it in. Despite the fact that we would like to have every person of trans experience fill out the survey, using this new method and putting a limit on how many people each person is allowed to ask will lead to more solid and credible research that more accurately reflects the issues facing trans communities in Ontario. These, in turn, will be taken more
seriously by groups and government policy-makers that can affect change.
When people contact us to complete the survey without a ticket, we suggest that you keep an eye out for the survey and express your interest in the survey as it's out there right now.
Also, to give people the chance to be heard, just in case they aren't approached to complete the survey, we're asking if you'd be willing to possibly be contacted in the future for an interview.
*~*~*~*~*
So... Perhaps one can contact them to offer an interview?

Also: Have people been posting to the various trans-related lj comms with offers of spare codes for other Ontario residents? Just out of curiosity. (I'm guessing 'yes'. ;-)
- TTFN,
- Amazon.
