(no subject)
I just ordered a bunch of books on companion planting! :-D
Whee-hee-heeeeeeee! :-D
They will be here in two weeks or less! This will be fun! :-D
I'm currently making bread. (Well, letting it rise for the umpteenth time, actually) -- It's got lots of honey in it, plus some condensed milk. I'm curious as to how it will taste. :-)
In other news: I made new curtains for the bedroom on Saturday. :-) They are deep purple on the room side, and pale, pale blue on the window side (to reflect the sun in summer, as the upstairs gets *quite* hot in August).
I also have fabric (just broad cloth) with-which to make two saris. One in royal blue and the other in a kind of burgundy-esque colour.
I did not get my wedding dress fabric -- Even though Frabric Land had blue silk dupionie for $12.99/m (big sale, ended yesterday) which is *very* inexpensive, I wasn't sure if it was the right blue (lousy lighting. blast!).
So I'll be getting full-price fabric instead. Ah well, still need to find the right bodice pattern, so I've got some time yet. ;-)
Paul and I have been talking about wedding venues. We may be able to have it in Paul's parents' back yard. :-) Which would be cool. Also *really* inexpensive (compared to having it at a Venue, at any rate).
Paul's Mom is all for it, but we don't yet know about Paul's dad. She's going to bring it up with him. :-)
We could have floating (citronella) candles in the pool and the miniature pond! And they have an apple tree in the back -- Granted, in late june it won't be blooming too much anymore, but still. :-)
And we could have bouquets of herbs on the tables (when the tables get set up).
We couldn't have more than 60 guests, mind you, but we'll manage. ;-)
Anywhoo. So that's looking up. :-)
That's my news. Must get back to the bread. :-)
- Nam'ara,
- Amazon. :-)
