(no subject)

Last night was fun.

I had dinner with my Mom (Chinese food at the "Cathay Lounge" on Albert street... A bit salty, but tasty enough. :-) We discussed wedding costs.
Then we went to my dress fitting.
It is starting to look good, and it's only basted together at this point. :-)
Whee! :-)
Tracey (the lady who's making it) says that the reason it looks good at this point is because we picked good fabric. :-)
Hurrah! :-)

I think it's going to be lurvly. :-)

After that we went to the NAC and I got Live Rush tickets to Falstaff.
We had desserts at the little cafe place in the NAC, and then evesdropped (sp) on the pre-Opera talk on the show. (About how Falstaff is the opera version of the Merry Wives of Windsor).

Then we saw the show.

My old prof, Michel Gardaz was there. I ran into him at intermission. (He's an odd mix of charming and smarmy... It's wierd. Anyway).

The show was fun. Funny and delightful. It was nice to see Julie and Shannon being their awesome selves. :-) And the guy who played Falstaff was *wonderful*. Such excellent body-language (and vocals, obviously)! :-)

The tenor who played Nanetta's young lover (not that I know his name...) had a beautiful voice. :-)

Just lovely all around. :-)

Hurrah! :-)

In other news. I finally posted my completely filled in fanfic100 table to their community.
Go and See if you are so inclined. :-)
Hurrah!
It is done. :-)

So.

Things to do today:
Get groceries! (I've been out of milk, juice, and fruit for three days!)
Do the laundry! (Including the sheets and pillow cases).
Phone Dr. Guedon (at home...) and bug her about my proposal.
Visit the Secretariate and find out about registration and non-registration, and such like. (Or, conversly, just e-mail/phone them, as that would mean I wouldn't have to leave the house. :-)

Hopefully all of this will work. :-)

Random Ramblings of the Amazon. :-)

Random:

I have an EKG meter hooked up to my head.
Paul is measuring my brain waves.

It feels rather bizzare.

I want breakfast. (At noon, no less).

Anwyay. Have joined the tarrot-fic community. Am doing MR again. Just 'cause the idea came up on the cheesemongers community and I figured "Hey, I could do that for here", and then Hyel made Tarrot-fic, so I figured I'd combine the two. :-)

Mwahahahaha. :-)

I may do a tarrot reading later today, mostly for the fun of it. (It really is more of a game to me... If only because, as long as I think of it as a game, I don't get freaked out about wonky/scary/not-what-I'd-hoped-for answers. ;-)

I usually just do three-card spreads, but I might do the grand-cross or what-ever it's called (Greensleaves knows ;-) just because. :-)

I think if I were to pick a tarrot card that suited me best, I'd have to hit either the Queen or King of Cups. I tend to use the Queen, just because she's female and (I know this will come as a surprise to every single one of you) so am I.
Right.
But, yeah. Heavy on the emotion and the emotional upset... That's me. ;-)

/rambling. :-)

Tarot-a-Go-Go, OR: Mother of the Night, How Did You Swing This One? :-)

Okay.

So, I did my tarot reading.

But there is back-story.

See. Having (as mentioned earlier) joined tarotfic, I decided to take all of my Major Arcana out of my deck, the better to randomly pick a first card to write on.

(The card was 'star', by the way).

Anywhoo.
My deck was fairly well mixed (and fairly evenly spread in terms of right-side-up/upside-down) before I did that. So, when I put the MAs back into the deck I tried to space them out fairly evenly in order to prevent a sudden cluster of Major Arcana in the spread I was about to do for myself.

Having done that, I shuffled the deck a whole big bunch.

Then I did my reading.

Despite my previous statement of "I treat this like a fun game and don't take it seriously"... I still have to wonder after getting a Grand Cross spread like this:

CARD 1: "Where I Am Now": The Hanged Man (right side up)
CARD 2: "Helpers/Hinderers": The Sun (right side up? Tipped to the right)

CARD 3: "The Best I Can Do Right Now": The Empress (upside down)
CARD 4: "Hidden Factors Around Me": Knight of Cups (right side up)
CARD 5: "Effects of the Past": Wheel of Fortune (right side up)
CARD 6: "My Next Move": Temperance (right side up)

CARD 7: "How I See Myself": Page of Cups (upside down)
CARD 8: "How Others See Me": The Star (right side up)
CARD 9: "Hopes and Fears": Queen of Cups (right side up)
CARD 10: "Outcome": Ten of Cups (right side up)

Now, for those of you who read these things regularly enough to get something out of this, I would *love* to hear your interpretations.

Here's Mine )
