Righty-O, details as promised:
My house is a three-bedroom (2 up, 1 down) condo-townhouse near Hunt Club road (a bit of a walk from South Keys mall).
It has one full bath (top floor) and one half-bath (bottom floor), the latter of which will be turned into a full bath by adding a stand-up shower. (That way, I get my own bathroom! Yay! :-)
The basement floor also has a laundry machine and a dryer, and some storage space. I'm hoping I can use at least some of the storage space to house vegetables like buttercup squash and pumkin (and beans, although without a big freezer, I'm not sure how I'll do all that).
I have a very small back yard, with its own entrance to the street (which is handy, although I'll probably be using the path that goes out the front). I plan to turn this into a vine-a-riffic vegetable garden (I just need some *really* strong trellises, because I'm growing a bunch of heavy-fruited plants), and also to plant some flowers (Dark red sunflowers, black hollyhocks, and some low-growing meadow flowers that will just help to keep the soil in place).
The main floor has (cheap) parkay flooring (plus some plastic tile in the kitchen), plus a wood-burning fire place (yay!), a fridge, a stove, and a dishwasher (it's one of those ones that has to be plugged into the sink some how).
I have a living room (small -- it will be... fun... trying to get the piano in there) and a dining room (I'm getting my parents' old oak table and chairs + china cabinet! Woohoo!)
That's the joy of having one's parent(s) down-size. You get all the old furniture, and some it is actually *nice*. :-)
Anywhoo. Those are my details.
If anyone knows of a trust-worthy, employed and dependable, quiet non-smoker who needs a place to stay, I have shared accomadation available for one (or possibly two) people for $400/month + utilities. :-)
Take care, all. :-)
- Nam'ara,
- Amazon. :-)
