So, we got the DVD Player. It works fine with down-loaded movies on CDs, as well as DVDs.
Paul also got me a present: He got me the Tea Party's "Illuminations" (a set of all their music videos up to Walking Wounded, with commentary from the band and some other stuff). Yay! :-)
So we watched that last night. :-)
It's kind of funny because, when listening to Jeff Martin (usually) wax philosophical about religion, part of my brain is thinking "Dude, that's so first-year". It's like he took SRS 1110 and is working from the notes.
That being said: Still fun. :-)
Paul and I are also thinking of switching from regular cable to digital cable, so that we can just get the chanels we want and not have to put up with stuff like pop-tastic Much Music or CNN.
In other news: I am onto page five of my conference paper. I still need to cover discipline-&-education (non-religious topics), plus Teaching Our Beliefs, and then hit the conclusions and the questions, but so far, so good. :-)
I want to finish that up today, then throw something together for the discussion pannel on Gender in Paganism. I'm going to talk about rites of passage stuff -- What makes a Man a Man and a Woman a Woman -- as opposed to an adult fe/male that is. I'm assuming that Marisol is on this panel, so I'm hoping that my chatter will dove-tail nicely with hers.
Off to Edmonton on Thursday. Whee! :-) I picked up about 20 of those fruit-to-go snack things (like fruit leather?) for munching on the plane and at the conference. I snack a lot. ;-)
Must pack, as well... Will probably do that tomorrow night (I have wednesday off, so I can just pack up my suit on Tuesday -- must remember to bring home my shoes!)
