(no subject)

Well, I've been plant shopping again. (I think this will have to be the last time). I went to the market and got potted plants to transfer into the garden.

I got:
Purple basil
Garlic chives
French taragon

English cucumber
Yellow bell pepper
Purple bell pepper

A blue (grey-turquoise) hosta with white-trimmed leaves
A little purple viola plant

Two phloxes (?) -- A forget-me-not blue-ish one, and one that has deep-pink and white petals
A "Black Barlow" columbine (very dark purple, by the looks of things).



I also got my brother the Clash's "Cut the Crap" album. Which I hope he'll enjoy. He's got a birthday coming up, so I got him that and a bar of shaving soap from Brigid's Bard.



The squirels have been digging up my sunflower seeds. Damn and bugger.
I'll have to scatter some sardines around the place. That should (in theory) distract them.

Anywhoo. I'm going to make a tabouli salad now. Chickpeas and quinoa (instead of bulgar wheat) with mint and parsley and taragon and goat cheese and cucumber and yellow pepper and tomato. :-)
