(no subject)

Hoy. What is with my sleep-cycle, lately? (Get up at 7am 'cause I can't sleep any more, and then proceed to go back to bed at 8:15 and sleep/snooze for 45 minutes... Hm...)

Anywhoo.

We're heading off to Paul's cottage in about... an hour and a half.

Things still to do:

Paul must pack clothes for the weekend.
We need to pack the food that needs to stay cold (we have an insulated bag for the chicken, although I don't know if it will all fit).
We need to pack the bedding.

I need to eat something, and maybe take some anti-nausea medicine.

I think I'm going to leave off painting the bathroom counter until we get back on Monday. :-)


Anywhoo.

Oo! Paul gave me a present! :-) He got me a big book of edible wild plants! :-D How totally awesome is that? :-D So I'm bringing that with me to the cottage. :-)

Oo! And guess what. There's a broad-leaved plant that has pink "ball" flowers (like a chive, or an alium, but on a way-different stem) that I thought might be milk-weed, even though I didn't have any clue what it was.
And I was *right*! Woohoo! :-D

So I feel very cool about this -- even if I did it by accident. :-)


My Mom dropped by last night (Randomly -- I was very surprised) to talk about *boys*. That was just wierd. But she said my garden looked really cool. :-) Apparently the plant that I thought was a pumpkin (except that the fruits didn't actually look like pumpkins) is actually a pepper-squash. Which is funny, 'cause I don't recall having pepper-squash seeds to plant. Wierd. But apparently I did. :-\ Meh. :-)

Anywhoo. Must go and eat. :-)
