Hurrah!
Things are looking somewhat less dire! :-)
We have a tennant coming in October, and Paul's parents have agreed to cover the last two years or so of his education (as a loan, but still. It's much easier to pay them back, interest-free, on a monthly basis than to pay the credit card companies).
So, Paul and I will have to have another money talk. (And move the enormous bed that is currently in the basement bedroom -- the tennant would prefer to use his own bed). But I think things are looking up. :-)

In other news: My Mom has informed me that using business cards as RSVP cards, when we'd have to use envilopes that are bigger than that (the post office doesn't take anything smaller than your average "thank you" card size) looks very ammateurish.
<*Rolls eyes*> If she wants to pay for fancy shmancy cards, she can go right ahead. That being said, I may be able to come up with something Using fancy paper that I've already go, or something... We shall see.
That being said, we may be able to make the invitations long and lean, so that they fit inside a standard-size envilope (They'd be about 9cm x 23cm in the end, I think, so that there'd be room inside the standard envilope for the reply card and maps and such-like... We'll have to consider this possibility).
And last but not least: How the heck to I do an LJcut? Because I've tried before and it hasn't worked.
Somebody want to give me a pointer? Please?
