Saw Narnia last night. :-)
Thoughts:
1) Whee! Pretty! :-) It looks like Ottawa in January! :-) Also, there are mermaids and centaurs and all that other really cool stuff. :-D
That was really cool to look at. :-)
2) Holy Xian references, Batman. And yes, I realize, "duh".
But they even got it down in the costuming. (Like dressing Peter up (vaguely) like Richard the Lionheart, who went off on the crusades, for example, or having the girls wear red and blue when they wept over Aslan).
3) Question: Did Mr. Timnus (or what-ever his proper name is) and Lucy ever get together? (And I mean *after* she's at least turned fifteen, for the love of all you hold sacred).
4) Mm. Tilda. Wow she does Cold well. <*shivers*> Winter's dangerous beauty and all that. Just like the ice storm. :-) Yai. Scary.
5) Question that Paul brought up, and that I couldn't answer: You know how they end up being their original age when they get back out of the wardrobe, even though they've gone and grown up for years in Narnia? (A) How did that happen, and (B) Does it always work like that? I mean, could they go into Narnia, and age to the age of 90, and then come back out again, and be, say, seventeen all over again, but with all the memories of that wide life they lived in the other world? And (C) How much time would they miss between going out and going back in? I mean, does it work both ways? Can you go into Spare Oom for twenty years, and then go back into Narnia and it's just the way you left it? Or would another hundred years have passed?
Anywhoo.
And:
6) I think that Tilda's White Queen, and Viggo's Aragorn need to have a sword fight. And I need to watch. Because, damn. That would be beautiful. :-) (There is nothing in this world so lovely as strength and grace combined. :-)
And that's my reaction to Narnia. :-)
