In other news: I find myself craving black velvet. Maybe it's this cool weather we've been having. :-)

Rampant Materialism: Part II

I went shopping today.
I got presents for my brides maids. :-)
I got little tote-bag things from the dollar store to use in lieu of gift-wrap, and I glue-gunned fake flowers to the closures to make them a little bit funkier. :-)

They each got:
1 body-shop body scrub (small-size)
1 manicure-in-your-pocket thing,
1 lush bath bomb, and
1 lush soap

There was a different theme for each person, though, and all the goodies fell under that theme. :-)
There may be some peppermint foot lotion and a mini-facial-masque or something going into each baggy as well -- they will have been dancing for a few hours by the end of the wedding, after all. :-)


I also got myself a pair of shoes.

They are not size 13.
They are size 12-wide, and they are slip-ons with no back to them. As such, they actually fit my feet.

I am victorious! :-D

They are wedge-heel black sandals -- casual, without being sporty. Yay! They just might be my brunch shoes. :-)
(Now I just need to rig it so they don't give me blisters. ;-)
