Seriously.
We went bed-shopping (and bed buying) today.
(As a result of this, our bedroom is also the tidiest it's been in months. Woohoo!)
As of next Saturday, October 7th (coincidentally both the full moon (according to one calendar) *and* the day we can send in for our marriage certificate) we will be going to sleep on a brand-spanking-new soft-and-supportive matress. (Possibly a Serta, but I don't actually remember).
It's queen-sized and has a split box-spring. :-) Our wedding sheets will actually *fit*, without getting all baggy and annoying along the sides. It will be good. :-D
Post bed-shopping, Ami_B came over and we chatted and ate Mangwasi Bean and Rabbit Stew -- Made with neither mangwasi beans nor rabbit, but it still had the mango in it, darn it! -- and yacked about Stuff. :-)
She brought me irises. I will have to plant them. And Soon. :-)
Recipe for Good Eats:
1 can cocoanut milk
1/2 C orange juice (or orange-based tropical fruit juice)
1/8 C (or there-abouts) white wine
1-2 tsp curry powder
1 clove garlic, minced
1 squirt (1/4 tsp?) lime juice
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
1 ripe mango, cubed
1, er, heap... of fresh fava beans (about 1.5 cups? Mabye?) boiled
1/2 C uncooked brown long-grain rice. (Or 1 C cooked, of same -- although you'd add it later if this was the case).
Put ALL the ingredients into a *deep* frying pan, and turn the heat on to about '7' (slightly above 'medium') and cook it for a good half hour to fourty minutes.
Serve in bowls, and enjoy. :-)
It's very yummy. :-)

Oh, Idioglossia: Soup exchange? Hello? Beuler? <*cough*> Anyway...

And then I missed the Schola.
Yes.
See, I decided "Hey, why don't I go to the Ottawa Pagan Schola, seeing as I have no freaking clue how to shield, or how to work with guys in a religio-magical setting".
I was offered a lift by one of the lovely teachers of said schola, and I stood her up.
Me + OCTranspo = Baaaaaaaad combination.
I got to Hurdman station at the time that I was supposed to be at her office. On Bronson.
I'm an idiot.
So I went home, and wrote her an explanitory appology note which, hopefully, she will recieve as soon as she next checks her e-mail.
I am relieved to note, however, that she was leaving her office (having given up on me, thank goodness) at about the same time that I was writing said letter. So good. She didn't wait around for too long. (Not that half an hour isn't long, mind you).
Anyway.
To say the least, it has been an eventful day.
I'm really tired, and I want to go to sleep.
Work tomorrow. Goody goody gush. :-P
