I got home to find a 'Field Collection Notice" (informing me that my hydro was scheduled to be cut off... um...) sitting on my front hall bench.

I called the hydro company.
They actually *did* get the money I sent them.
Everything is fine.
I am relieved.

In other news: I got followed around by a nine-year-old boy today (I think he was just happy to have someone to talk to - about really violent video-games, alas - while his mom tried on clothes). My co-workers were teasing me about this (he asked me how old I was), suggesting that this was nine-year-old speak for "I think you're cute".
<*quizical look*>
Do nine-year-old boys think about that at all?
<*considers my brother*>
Okay, yes, they do.
None the less. That's a little strange.

On a similar note, I got to talk metal with a young fellow named Alex (his friend, Ilya was rather less talkative) who was rather disappointed to find out that I was married and not yet sick on my husband.
Hehehe.
Apparently he majored in museum studies, and is a drummer.
Good for him. :-)

Also: Tried on another pair of capri pants. (Yes, I said *pants*). I actually like them. They fit. They look nice. And they have deep blue (and possibly wine-coloured) pin stripes and cuffs, which makes them very cool (at least as far as I'm concerned).

Hehehe.
I spent a fair amount of time feeling sheepish today.
See, I have a rain coat.
I've had it for eight years, and have worn it often enough that it's down to about $3/wear now.
Which is good.

However, it doesn't change the fact that I bought the thing (for $150) because I took one look at it and went "<*gasp*> It's a Trinity Coat!"
I am so shallow. ;-)

So I always feel a bit like I'm playing dress-up when I put it on.
(None the less, I do rather enjoy playing dress-up. Clearly, I have to learn Kung Fu. ;-)

Anyway... :-)

That was my day.

In other news: My CD-drive appears to be having problems (perhaps it needs to be cleaned. Any ideas?) so I've gone and downloaded limewire. :-)
<*goes to hunt up The Dixie Chicks*>
