It is a bright-and-early (okay, dark and early - very early) 5:45 on this first morning of October, 2007.
I leave for the bus in just under an hour and will make my way from there to Hurdman to the 107-route (Nepean Centre) - which only runs in one direction (convenient... uh, not exactly) - and, thence, to Colonnade Rd. whereat I will write my GCT-1 and, hopefully, get myself that much closer to a cushy government job with all those 'unnecessary' benefits like, say, a dental plan. :-P

Wish me good luck! :-D

I have my security-check form filled out (and waiting with my purse), I've got my health card (valid), my driver's license (totally not valid, but still usable for ID purposes), my birth certificate - and my marriage certificate, just in case I end up needing it (well, you never know).

My test runs from 8am-11am. I will then take the #3-Hurdman (the stop for which I will have to locate), and spend 35-45 minutes on the bus, get off down town, and go to work.

And then my stress for the day will, I think, be sufficiently over, and I'll be able to happily collapse and go to bed. :-) (Baked turkey - probably w/ left-over rice and sweet potatoes - for dinner tonight. Possibly some fried mushrooms in there, just cause they are so very, very, very yummy. :-)

It is 8:50pm.

I am ready to sleep.

Ye. Gods.

5:30am is too damn early to get up. Seriously. What are these 8am-test-hour people thinking? (My guess: "I have a car! This'll be easy!" That's what they're thinking. Bastards. ;-)

The test, however, went quite well. Ami_B has described the GCT-1 as "pretty dead easy"[1], and boy, was she right. I hope my experience bodes well for my results. :-)

I was out of there by not quite 10am, and celebrated by getting cheap Second Breakfast[2] at Dunn's, down town.

I had turkey for dinner. It was very good (although not nearly filling enough. Still. Some is better than none by a long shot).

Random Cartoons (which I enjoyed):
XKCD does Fandom: Spoiler Alert
XKCD does The One: Sentient Programs

I need to check my schedule for tomorrow and get myself to bed. :-)

Paul comes home the day after tomorrow. :-D This is good, 'cause I miss him. :-)

Thank you, and good night. :-D

[1] And now I want to take those words *way* out of context and apply them to, say, the Corpse Bride. <*sigh*> My brain is a weird, strange, if somewhat predictable, place. ;-)

[2] No, seriously. Eating like a Hobbit (albeit with a mediocre appetite, if we're talking about Hobbits) is the only way to go. Otherwise I'm just hungry and antsy all the time. (Whereas if I do Hobbit-style meal-scheduling, I at least experience periods of full-and-somewhat-satisfied. Which is nice. :-)
<*loves the absurdly fast metabolism*> :-)
