H'Okay.
So this isn't all "What I Bought Today", but the over-riding theme is me getting More Stuff.
As follows:
Sunday - Went out shopping w/ Ami_B. A good time was had by all (woohoo!) and many purchases were made. Including:
- Seeds for the garden
- A (surprisingly cheep-ass, even with 'cheep-ass' being an expectation) poster frame which now houses the Moon-and-Church painting done by my grandfather.
- A wodge of beads for more jewelry-making.
- A set of jewelry-pliers (total impulse buy, but very likely to be useful, given that I've got more jewelry to make)
- A closet organizer (!!!) -- This one is the <$50 wire-wrack type of dealy -- up eight feet wide (must measure closet) with no need to move my current closet shelf, only the need to remove it, which is easier. :-) I hope it's at least marginally sturdy. :-)
It does *not* have a whole lot of shelving available, BUT one can always get extra shelving and/or cheep-plastic-stacking-drawers to add to it and make it work. I will be putting it in place... most likely this weekend. :-) (I'll have to take the opportunity to weed out my closet again. ;-)
Today:
At 3:30, I met up with Michelle (and Ari, unexpectedly) to swap BPAL goodies.
I got: Malice, Penitence (mmm... Myrrh...), and Vice. Plus: Rooibos (sp) tea. Woohoo! :-)
I gave: Wrath, Vampire Tears, and Loviatar. Plus: "Honey I Washed the Kids" soap, from Lush.
So far, Malice is 'meh', but okay, and Penitence is decent and spicey and growing on me. Vice I will find out about later. Possibly tomorrow. :-)
Also Today:
My package from amazon.ca arrived today. (As did a book package for Paul, which I opened thinking it was for me - Way to Read the Label, I know).
In *my* package were:
Po'Girl's "Home to You"
Faith and the Muse's "Annywn Beneath the Waves"
Nalo Hopkinson's Brown Girl in the Ring
Glenys Livingstone's Pagaian Cosmology
and
Kata Orndorff's Bi Lives.
I am faced, once again, with the deliciously wonderful conundrum of "What Shall I Read Next?"
:-D
I *love* that conundrum! :-D
Anyway. It's about 8:45 and I've been a total zombie today (due to going to sleep at around 11pm after a nice, if unusually late-for-me night with Paul), so it's time for me to go to bed. :-)
- TTFN,
- Amazon. :-)
