So I stopped by the CU library tonight and came out with three books (after some heavy weeding of the 12-15 I grabbed off the shelves):
June Jordan's Poetry for the People blueprint book (which includes an extremely helpful checklist to use when editing poetry - thank goodness, 'cause I could sure use the help!)
Jill Nagle's Whores and Other Feminists (which I was thrilled to find - lots of good stuff about sex-positive feminism, sex work, and radical sex - YAY!)[1]
AND
Policing Public Sex which is pretty much about what it says. (One of the authors is an Allan Berube -- Any relation?)
These should be good, I think. :-)
My to-read list just keeps getting longer.
(Whee! Learning is Fun! :-D)
Anyway. It's about 10pm now, and I need to get me some sleep. :-)
Much reading to do in the next couple of days. :-)
- TTFN,
- Amazon. :-)
[1] CU has freaking Califia on the shelf! Or at least they would if the person who took it out would finally return it (it was due last week). Shocked the hell out of me, but I'll be keeping my eyes open for its return. :-D
