Hallo again,

So, no contract so far, but the day is young.

I had my job interview, which I think went perfectly well. Here's hoping I get one of the vacancies rather than just ending up in The Pool. ;-)

Wish me luck! :-D

Also: Please continue to wish me luck with appartment-hunting. I've just sent an e-mail to Bronson Place (Percy/Bronson @ Gloucester, so a pretty decent location in terms of bussing and the Centertown Community Health Center). Their units are all carpeted. :-P But otherwise it sounds quite wonderful. I spoke to one of their tenants (a random gal who was coming in the door while I was taking down the inquiries information) and she says it's great and she's been there for years, so I figure that's a good sign.
Also, it looks like there's a community garden between Percy and Bronson on Laurier, which would be ideal for me in terms of location! :-)

So here's me: I wish for the Perfect all-inclusive Appartment, for September first, 2008, to fall into my lap and cost no more than $820/month, ideally less.

That's my wish. Send me good vibes, and help me make it come true. :-D

In other news: Beth Brant (Dyke Mowhawk Poet from Toronto) is quite awesome. I reccomend that people check her out. :-D

In still other news: I spent yesterday baking. :-) I made:

Rasberry White-Chocolate Muffin Cake[1] x3.
Mint-Chocolate pound cake x1.
Mocha pound cake x1.
Hint-o'-Maple Bread (with wheat flour, fine corn meal and rolled oats) x2.

I also ate leftover rice and chinese greens suplimented with grape leaves and a chopped up chicken sausage. It was all quite tastey. :-)

I also spent a lot of time reading about cooking with wild plants -- we do DIY xmas gifts with my mom these days -- in the name of saving money and resources. The idea is eather make the gift yourself, or give second-hand goodies. Or both. :-)

So my plot is to make mint jelly and wild-grape jelly and a bunch of Stuff Like That There by harvesting The Stuff that grows in abandonned lots and road-sides and so-on. :-D (My plotting, let me show you it... ;-)

I think that it might be possible to eat isis flower.
At least there's something that looks a hell of a lot like it in my edible foods guide, so chances are good. (Don't worry, I'll make sure the latin names are the same before I go trying anything. ;-)

Anyway, this afternoon is going to be spent doing laundry and vacuuming. :-) (Good fun!) But we'll see what we can do. :-)

Must also get more milk (gods, I go through a lot of that stuff...) and an August bus pass. :-)
