She comes home today! :-D

(Granted, I have no idea when. Earliest would be 4pm, I suspect. Latest... Probably somewhere between 10pm and midnight).

Anyway.

Things to do today:

Write and edit poetry. [If I get something FINISHED, I shall read it at Umi tonight. I think).

Write and edit porn-fic(s)?

Wash (more) dishes.

Get groceries (milk, pumpkinseed-butter, lime juice, cocoa, flour, shortening, maybe soymilk).

Tidy dining room table.

Bake more pumpkin-spice cookies, 'cause those are *goooooooooooooood*. :-D

Pack bag for tomorrow -- everything from makeup to two or more pairs of shoes to spare polish to extra scarves and that warten wheel (which I think is still in my purse...) plus a book to read at the salon, if the people doing the work aren't too talkative. Must remember to put the GC in my purse! (If it isn't already there). :-) I think I'll bring my black sarong, as well. Just to act as a back-drop cloth for the pictures, if he doesn't have anything that would work.

Whee! I feel busy and potentially productive! Hurrah! :-D

Up, up and awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! ;-)

EDIT:
Well, I've figured out all the stuff I'm packing with me tomorrow.
All the goodies for the photo shoot (shoes, jewels, umbrella, trinket boxes, and a bunch of other stuff)
Makeup, shoes and accessories for the dance workshop
Extra accessories for the post-workshop play-party
Goodies to use during (and - if she's up for it - after) the play-party

Still need to wash the little fishnet sockette-things I've got, but otherwise, I'm good to go. :-)

She's safe
She had a good night last night
She has a client who is CRAZY about her (and apparently as smitten with her as I am, yowza. Not that I blame him. ;-)

She also has a ride home at 4:30pm. Which should get her back into town between 8:30 and 9:30. :-)

Plans for my evening include:

Poetry at Umi (some time between 8pm and 8:45 most likely)

Since I think the stuff I wrote today is good enough to read.

Thank goodness! :-)

Anyway. Cookies need making.

And I need to burn a CD for my brother. :-)

And find little boxes for various pieces of jewelry for various relatives.

And wrap my grandparents' presents and send them off in the mail.

And (eugh) do the (ever-present) dishes. Again. :-P

I've got a freaking tonne of counter-space. How the hell does it get covered in dishes *this* easily???

From Chris Baty (of NaNoWriMo):

Whatever you think you are, you are more than that. You possess a fearsome array of skills and abilities, and the most satisfying of these may be completely unknown to you now. Your curiosity is a dependable guide; follow it. Put yourself in unfamiliar places. Kindle passions. Savor the raw joy of making things, and then remake the best of those things until they take someone's breath away. Wrestle bears.

Actually, skip the bear-wrestling.

But do keep trying big things, okay? Sometimes we can wait so long for a clear sign that it's time to begin, that the opportunity sails right past us.

Just thought I'd throw that out there where people can see it. :-)

Cookies: Baked
Dishes: Washed (still need rinsing, but at least they're clean!)
Groceries: Bought (for less than I was expecting, too! Hurrah!)
Poetry: Written (and edited, though I may try to do a litle more)
Packing: Done (and it all fit into one bag. Two *huge* pairs of shoes, PLUS everything else. Including an umbrella! I am a packing genius!)

Porn: Haven't touched it.
Dining Room Table: Still messy.

But, for the most part, everything is set. Go me! :-D

Off to Umi in... Oh, call in 20 minutes?

- TTFN,

Two More Poems (one for Sara, one for Sex Workers in General.

She's home and safe.

And I am home and tired.

So I am off to bed.

But it was a satisfying night. :-)

(I had a couple of people tell me I'm a good poet, too, which is always nice to hear. ;-)
