As of 7pm Eastern Standard Time (about... 5pm here?) I will be officially 24 years old. :-) I will visiting with my sister, and getting ready for the opera at McGill. :-)
Life is Good. :-)
Presents that I have received so far:
From Kat-my-Room-Mate:
Bottle of garlic-infused white whine vinegar
Bottle of citrus-infused olive oil (which is also very pretty)
Jar of coconut oil (which is solid at room temperature. Who knew?)
Jar of crushed ginger in lemon juice (Woohoo! Cold Remedy in a jar! Yay! :-)
Jar of purreed garlic. Mmmm... Garlic... :-)
From my Mom:
Big snuggly black sweater! (I can *always* use more sweaters!)
Black ribbed mock-neck (from Phase 2 -- Always nice. :-)
Dead Can Dance double CD (packed already for trip to MTL, so I can't tell you
which one -- I think it's sort of a "best of" kind of thing... Could be wrong).
Kushiel's Dart (which I have already started. I'm on chapter three now, I
think. I like the way it's written. Very beautiful, flowing prose. Nice. :-)
Kushiel's Chosen. (Part II! I'm hoping that between school and the two of them
I will be good for fiction reading right up until part three comes out in
paper-back. ;-)
From my Brother:
An e-card. (A very funny e-card, mind you. And he is in New Brunswick right now, so I'm not too surprised that his present hasn't shown up in the mail yet. ;-)
Things that are good in my life:
I am enrolled in the Religious Studies MA program at U of O.
I have a TA job (that is covering my tuition nicely)
I have really nice friends! (I got to see one of them last night -- Really plesant).
I have a good family
I'm learning lots of stuff! (Yay Stuff! :-)
I'm fairly healthy
I have the oportunity to record a CD of my own, plus to participate in the making of a CD with Tsivia and Heather Dale and a bunch of other tallented musician folk. :-)
I have a boyfriend whom I love and who loves me in return. :-) <3
I think the first one and the last one take the cake, but the rest are pretty good, too. :-)
I'm such a lucky girl! :-)
- Nam'ara,
- Amazon. (Who has counted her blessings and finds them to be quite numerous. Yay!)
