So...
I have sent my information to a number of Learn English in Canada schools.
I have recieved two responses.
One of them greeted me as "Mrs. Armstrong".
Hehehe. They think I'm already married.
Some small part of me wants to write back and tell them that "Mrs. Armstrong is my Mother; *my* name is 'Alli'" (with a little heart over it). Except that (A) 'Alli' makes me cringe; and (B) It would *totally* ruin my chances of getting a boarder from them.
In any case, I've got a potential from the other place -- A Japanese girl who wants a different place to stay. I'm going to give her a call tomorrow -- Her name is Tomomi (if I recall correctly). I'd like to know why she wants to switch houses -- and what sort of rent I should be charging her. I don't know if I'm supposed to be preparing meals for her or what. I'm pretty sure I do have to provide groceries, though.
Anyway.
We'll see what happens. But I just might have a tenant for August! Whee! :-D
In other news: I got my PC Master Card in the mail the other day. So I am looking forward to next weeks "Staples and Basics" grocery run -- I figure I'll stock up on non-parishable foods and baking stuff, and cleaning supplies -- which will get me some free groceries next month. :-)
I should find out if the Kowloon Market takes master card. I don't think so, but it would be worth it to find out. I need to get more seaweed. Perhaps if this Tomomi person moves in we can go on a shopping trip together and get her some comfort food. :-)
Which reminds me. I've got a huge can of sesame oil that I would *really* like to get opened up, but I can't break the seal on the darned thing. Anyone have any ideas? <:-) Anywhoo, that's all from me. :-) - Nam'ara, - Amazon. :-)
