Well, I think it's decided.
We're getting married at the Strathmere Inn, after all. :-)

Now I just have to get the guest-list together, so that we know how many non-drivers will need a lift out to the Inn -- Depending on the numbers, we may end up renting an OC Transpo bus or a van or something, to help people get out there.
In other news, dinner last night went pretty well. Paul friend is fairly nice (although I'm not wild about her quasi-boyfriend, but what can you do).
The menu wound up as follows:
Pre-dinner snacks --> Havarti & peach-cream-cheese w/ crackers, and drinks
Soup:
Chilled raspberry soup (made with gamay noir, berry juice and plain yoghurt) garnished with vanilla yoghurt.
Main Course:
Steamed asperagus w/ soft goat cheese;
Chicken and couscous bakes in apple juice with roasted red peppers as a garnish;
Medley of sauteed mushrooms (button, cremini, and shiitake) with garlic and shallots.
Dessert:
Peach-Strawberry-Blueberry pie (single-crust, w/ dots of pastrey on top) served with vanilla yoghurt.
Wines were white -- An Ontario (Pelee Island?) Gewerztraminer (thanks, Ami), and an Australian Chardoney (brought by the quasi-boyfriend -- who is a wine snob -- frankly, I didn't think it was as good as he said it would be, but he didn't want to drink anything else. Oh, well. <*grumble*>)
But, they both really liked the meal. :-) I'm really happy about that. Also, we had some good conversations about magic, healing, vampires, and all sort of other stuff. :-) And that was cool. :-)
And, I have half a tonne of left-overs. So Paul and I will eat well for the next day or two. ;-)
My cousin picked up the CD we made yesterday. So, it's probably on its way to London (ON) right now. Paul was (thankfully) able to trim the applause off the end of the last song -- it was added to the CD straight from a live recording I did in February, and I forgot to tell him about the clapping. But it's been removed, so that's all good. :-)
Anywhoo. So, everything is fine. :-)

I'm off for now. (There's still another load of dishes that need to be washed from last night, and I want to get that out of the way).
