The caulking is out! :-D
The towel-racks are (badly) painted!
I have paint for the walls. (Hopefully, I've got enought paint for the walls). It's self-priming stuff that is good for steamy bathrooms (which is what we've got). I'm thinking I may use primer anyway, just to conserve the paint, as I don't know how much of it I'll need compared to how much I've got (and primer is cheeper). I'm not sure yet, though.
Also, the wall-paper I've ordered has come in. So. The new order of operations is:
- Prime(?) and paint wall behind the counter-top.
-Plaster of Paris to fill in the holes in the wall, and the area behind the counter-top
- Caulking around the sink and at the back of the counter-top
- Prime and Paint bath-tub stall
- Prime(?) and paint the rest of the bathroom.
- Cut and apply wall-paper border.
- Dress with candles and a few towels.
I'm trying to match paint chips to our kitchen tiles. So far, I've found a few that work, but none that are light enough to make re-sale something easy, while still being green enough to look nice. I was actually thinking of something like a "new leaf" yellowish green with a touch of sage in it to darken it up, but that doesn't go with the tiles.
Hell, I may just paint all the doors using the rest of the "Elise" paint from the bathroom, and make a "backsplash" out of some of the wall-paper I've got.
Anyway. I've got two bathrooms to do before I can deal with the kitchen, so I think I'll try to leave off worrying about that for now.
In other news: I got organic strawberries at Loblaws yesterday. They were a dollar cheaper than the "non-organic" ones. And they were *so* good! Totally sweet, even the not totally ripe ones. :-)
Yummy! :-D
