Adventures in Perfume Land continue! :-)
Blood Kiss
According to the BPAL site, this scent contains: Vanilla, honey, cloves, red cherries, vetiver, poppy, red wine, and musk. (And, as such, was a very easy first pick for me. ;-)
In the bottle, you can catch the cherries quite well.
On me: Holy Gods, can you ever smell the cloves. I can also smell the vanilla, but that may be a result of my hand-lotion. Not sure. (Hope not, though). There's something under those two smells though... Something almost woody/dusty and cool. I have no idea what it is (possibly the vetiver?)
[Edit: After about 20-30 minutes, I can smell the honey!!! :-) I'm a happy girl! :-)]
I think I like this one. :-)
Woohoo! :-D
And I think it likes me. :-)
WOOHOO! :-D
Success! :-D
As a side note: Idioglossia came over last night. She got a bit of the Blood Kiss on her thumb when she took the cap off to smell it. It also smells lovely on her. :-) I think the fruit is more noticeable on her. :-)
In other news: My wee party last night, while it got off to a (very) slow start, was a lovely success. :-)
It was slightly after 8pm when the first guests showed up. But. After that, people came fairly regularly. :-) Food was eaten, drinks were sipped, merriment was had by all (as far as I can tell). My Mom, sister and brother, and Pauls parents and sister were there. As was Idioglossia and my friend Cathy and her husband Anthony.
All is well. :-)
Yehay! :-)
Now I must be off to work. (Bleh). And then I go to a shmancy dinner party tonight. (I've got a champagne-gold criss-cross backed velour 'evening gown' and a black velvet ankle-length not-exactly-coat thing to go over top of it. And I think I'll wear the necklace that Paul's parents gave me for my birthday (it's an amber thing - not real amber, but no-one will know that unless they look closely - and it'll go well with the gold dress).
Whee! :-)
Also: Have started writing my thesis. Am on page two. (Hhow every impressive. ;-) But, hey, that means only 98 to go. ;-) (It seems so much easier when there are only two digits in the number. ;-)
- Nam'ara,
- Amazon. :-)
