In other news:
My mother is "histant to invite" me (or possibly me and Paul) to the family christmas gathering because of my (our our) "negative feelings about coming to [her] place".
This despite the fact that she says christmas has always meant, for her, a family gathering.
So I need to find out what the hell's going on here.
Hm.

And... Paul and I are about to look into getting a bank loan, so that I can pay off my/our mortgage to my Mom in full (and so that Paul can pay off all of his debt at the same time) and... not have that hanging over our heads anymore.
I mean, yes, we'd still have the mortgage hanging over our heads, but depending on how things work, and what money becomes available once Paul's debt is paid off, it might be something we could do.
Maybe.
If we had, like, a one hundred year long mortgage.
Hahaha.
