Well, I finally (after, what, six and half months?) filled out the form that will get us a marriage certificate.
It will go in the mail today. (It will!)
I have no idea how long I will have to wait until it arrives, but once it does, I can walk into my bank and say 'please change the name on my account', thus allowing me to actually cash this xmas cheque from my grandmother, and I can get a new health card. (Which, technically, I've needed since November).
It's funny... sort of... That cheque is made out to 'Allison and Paul Raven', so technically Paul could cash my cheque for me (if he could be bothered to actually go and deal with a teller -- it's in US Funds, y'see...), but I can't actually deposite the damned thing myself. What an unpleasant feeling. I'm glad I was born when I was.
:-P
Anyway.
So that's my big news for the morning.
Paul treated a client at our house last night. (She seems to have a bit of a crush on him. Hehehe). She's a human rights worker. I like her. :-)
