Just read Wings, by Namaah_Darling.
That is some very good erotica, I think. :-)
And, might I add, boy do I have a long way to go on that front. Wow.
In other news:
1) I had tea with the lovely Ami_B yesterday. She gave me a very intelligent suggestion as to how to solve my plot-hole problem in my YA novel. Yay! So I think I get back to doing something productive on that one.
2) I picked up a Really Cool Book called Am I Blue which is an anthology of YA short stories about growing up gay. It includes Francesca Lia Block and Jane Yolen, so I have high hopes for it. :-)
(I have read most of the first story. So far, cute, fun, good. But: The author used the phrase "less committed" to being gay. Which, as a bisexual, pisses me off. We should not be expected to 'pick a side'. /rant).
3) I registered with The Associate Group yesterday. They might actually find me some work! Which would be a very, very good thing, given that this is day two of my three days 'off' this week, and I haven't heard from either of my other two agencies. So here's hoping that Marina really *does* have me in mind for a couple of jobs. Because it seems likely. And most of their work is in the down town area, so that will be helpful. :-)
4) The manicure I had a week and a half ago? The polish chips easily. But it does not *remove* easily. Good-goggly-moggly. I had to take a freaking emory board to it just to get the nail polish remover to have an effect. It didn't even get all of it off!
Anyway, as a result of this (I wanted to get rid of the chipped polish so that I wouldn't show up for the interview looking sloppy), I ended up with nails that looked a bit like candy-cains.
Er.
Not really the look I was going for.
So, while getting my resume printed at Staples (it worked, hurrah!), I stopped by the Loblaws and picked up some new nail polish. The darkest I could find was some Rimmel stuff (the dries in 60 seconds (yeah, right) kind) in a deep, slightly blue-toned purple colour.
As it happens, it matches almost-dead-perfectly with my cute little cotton night gown. I seriously squeaked with glee when I noticed that. I mean, how totally girly, but still. Totally random and neat that it happened! :-D
Anyway. I've spent the morning poking through stuff on Women and Islam for the lecture I'll be doing on the 14th of February. I think I'll be making Maccaroni and cheese for dinner tonight.
Now to go and plan out some plot points. Whee! :-D
