So my second stocking extension is (a) coming along, (b) through the Hard Bit, and (c) shaping up to be the same dimensions as its mate (thank you gods! :-D)
My further plans include:
1) Making a hat for a friend of mine (charcoal with crimson, ideally)
2) Figuring out how to make slippers and making myself a pair of chunky merino[1] ones in (probably) black (maybe with something else shot through it?) for around the house (because we get drafts across our floors and similar, plus it's good to have a pair around)
3) Figuring out how to knit that fishnet stuff so that I can make another pair of stocking-extensions that are ruffly and red. (I figure, if I can manage that, I'll get some in purple or turquoise or something and, like, knit myself some lingerie. ;-)
4) Learn how to turn a heel so that I can - in theory - make myself socks and, thus, stop it with this whole "extension" thing -- although I do like being able to turn a pair of work-a-day cotton tights from Sears into the Great Canadian Pin-Up Stocking (coming soon to a photoshoot near you, complete with work boots and a bush jacket, I'm sure. ;-)
5) Learn how to make a simple lace pattern so that I can make Ghost something pretty (she can rock the casually wrapped scarf-around-the-kneck thing like Woah, so...)
6) Knit myself a cropped black cardigan with long sleeves. O.O (This is going to involve a fair bit of learning-as-I-go, I'm afraid). :-\
Aaaaaaaaaaaaand that's about where I want to go with my knitting at present. Note there's a lot of "learn how to" in that list.
Wish me luck! :-D
