I went Shopping today. :-)

I got:
Kitchen ware:
A set of four dry goods canisters (flour, sugar, coffee and tea -- I will use them
for flour, flour, flour, and flour. ;-) ($1.00)
A muffin tin. :-) ($0.50)

Alas, no Wok for me. <:-) Books: "Time Travellers Strictly Cash" (Spider Robinson) ($0.50) "The Last Unicorn" (Peter S. Beagle) ($0.15!) "Daughter of Witches" (Patricia C. Wrede) ($0.15!) A *huge* bag of clothes for the bargain price of: $2.50 (*$2.50*!): - Black silk (?) business-length skirt - Black A-line knee-length skirt with pleats at the bottom - Blue wrap-around rayon mid-calf length straight skirt (with print of lillies) - Royal Purple *suit* (long, fitted jacket, knee length skirt) with hidious buttons which will soon be replaced with something elegant in silver and/or black - Turquis silk/linnen (?) suit (the shoulder pads *must* be removed, and the skirt needs to be taken in a bit) -- The jacket it square-cut, the skirt is A-line and knee-length, like the black one (above). - Long, double-breasted, navy blue wool winter coat with black leather accents (from Tall Girl! It fits! :-) - Glorious Green Velvet long coat. (Someone here is getting a *present*! :-) - Turquois socks (that look good and warm) for my room-mate who likes bright socks. - Periwinkle (pale purplish-blue?) turtleneck for my mom. :-) May I reiterate: $2.50! :-) (I got the black A-line skirt early, it was $1.50, but the rest, in their entirety, were $1.00 -- At the end of the Bazaar, they were selling stuff for a dollar a bag! Whee! :-) I feel like I've won a prize, or something! :-) So that's my shopping news. Whee! Excess! ;-)
Just a note to all who are interested (note: I have cross-posted this):

Issue #6 of Monochrome Beast (Free, local, Gothic/Industrial 'Zine) will be coming out early next week.

Finally! ;-)

As well as poetry, book reviews, and information on local Scene events, this issue includes: some "Children of the Night" submissions, an interview with Ottawa's Gothic Photo Journalist, Vamp_Rhavin, a Re-Apropriation of the story of Jack of the Lantern, and DJ Nox's experiences at ReJUVEnator II.

I hope to make them available at:

And where-ever else I can find a place for them. :-)
