Paul is having a crohns attack.
Which along with being nasty on its own, induces panick attacks.
He is going to work.
This takes about an hour on the bus.

He's not doing well, and I'm quite worried about him. <:-( (I know he will be fine, but the timing is just aweful). <:-( That is all. <:-( - Nam'ara, - Amazon.

Consarn It!

Well, big shocker, I know but:

I have to be registered full-time at the U of O *at the time of my conference* in order for them to give me any funding.

Which makes total sense, I know, but is really inconvenient for me because:

- My conference is during the intersession
- I am taking a "formal leave of absense" during the intersession (which will cost me $40 but that's *way* better than the two grand I'd be spilling if I were to register) because I can't possibly afford to be registered during a semester when it is painfully unlikely that I won't be able to get a TA-ship to cover the tuition costs.

- Plus, I'm in the *middle* of my degree for Gods' sakes, it's not like I'm not coming back! >:-\


So there's a rock and a hard-place for me.

Still, $800 out of my own pocket is better than $2000, and I may be able to get help elsewhere.

That being said, I've dropped the Grad Studies faculty a note asking if there's any way to get around this, or else get funding from some other department of the U of O that isn't so picky.
