I had a lovely Equinox ritual last night! :-)

There was wine, there were berries, there were candles and growing things, and it was just delightful.
There was also lots of maple syrup, and bread (coutesy of me). Maple syrup because it's flowing right now -- the blood of trees, the heart-beat (northern hemisphere half) of the world is beating again -- Hehe. I think Matter's heart beats "north-south" (or south-north, because what do I know), "systolic-diastolic". So we had tree blood last night, and tasted the sweetness of life. (And oh, how sweet it is! :-)

And there was a new girl! :-) (Actually, two new girls -- but one of them I'd never met before -- another Hum student, just in first year! Whee! :-)
It's so cool to see how this group is growing. (I mean, hell, *I* was the new girl five months ago, even though I'd known most of the other ladies for years already). :-)

It was such a delight. :-)

Tomorrow I do Ladies' Spring Brunch (must go and make Strata and muffins!), which is more of the same sort of thing. :-)

Below, for your... reading pleasure?... I have the "what kind of Pagan are you" quiz.

You scored as Eastern Pagan. Eastern Pagans come in two breeds; The Buddhist-Pagan, who follows the Buddhist belief of the "middle way" and the Hindu-pagan, who leans to the Hindu Pantheon of gods. Thoughtful, calm, insightful individuals are often drawn to Eastern mythology and thought. Enlightenment is more than a theory; it's a state of mind to aspire to, and there are certain key elements that you've found in the Eastern paths that offer to help you on the journey. Those who seek these paths are often the teachers, the peacemakters and the intellectualists of our world.

What kind of Pagan are you?
created with QuizFarm.com

I confess, it's not the greatest quiz because the questions it asks include things like "I know what/who X-myth/deity is", rather than "I have a reliationship with X-deity" or "I include X-myth in my sacred cannon". (Thus why my top two are my top two -- I know what the bagavadgita is, and I am familiar with what a sweatlodge is for -- that doesn't mean either of them turn up in my *own* practice). <*sigh*>.
And they had *no* questions about the hearth, the land, or the divine feminine. What, Goddess-Girl Kitchen Witches don't count as Pagan?
I *strongly* object! ;-)

Anywhoo. As stated above, I've got cooking to do. :-)

Paul and I have Date Night tonight (kindly postponed so that I could go to my ritual) -- I'm hoping to snag a copy of The Increadibles (and/or King Arthur -- they wer all out last week).

I must also come up with something easy-on-the-stomach for dinner (Paul's got a really early morning tomorrow, and that doesn't help the Crohn's at *all*). I'm thinking I will do some sort of stuff squash. That could work. :-)

Anywhoo. I must scoot. :-)

- Nam'ara,
- Amazon. :-)
I keep hearing people gush about Moniac (sp) Mead.

Well, guess what I got to try last night:

Barenjager.

Honey liqueur which actually tastes and smells like *honey* (that burns on the way down, but you get the idea).

Now *that* stuff is *good*! :-D

I've decided that I will have to invest in some (although I expect it's horrifically expensive).
I have, in fact, decided to invest in all sorts of sweet, sticky liqueurs, as I just think they're decadent (and they go so well with icecream!). :-)

So, on the wish list:
Barenjager (from Germany)
That Chocolate-Cherry stuff from the Czec republic
Creme de Cacao Blanc (Godet stuff)

- Nam'ara,
- Amazon. :-)
