Well, I ran out of paint.
Bugger.
The spray-can of marina paint that I was using to do the shower? (Hah! I should have done two coats of primer, at least...) I ran out of paint part-way through.
So, now we can't use the shower until I have more paint applied to the tiles.
This wouldn't be quite so annoying if:
(A) I didn't have paint in my hair, and sleep-dep grime on my skin, and
(B) Paul hadn't made a fuss about having no shower available when (a) he could have gone out and got another can of paint, it's not like he wasn't home last night, and (b) he'd had a shower that morning, and had also (probably) had his hair washed at the salon when he got his hair cut.
So, yes. I'm mildly pissed about this. I'll get over it, though. ;-)
So. Today, I go to Home Depot (again) and pick up the following:
1) Quart-size can of plastic-enamel marina paint in white.
2) Green painter's tape
3) One D=1.25" PVC pipe (for Paul's experiments)
4) Spongy paint brush (maybe)
5) Big black garbage bags (this will probably come from Loblaws).
Anyway. I'm still tired and sleepy. I may actually go back to bed before I get anythign accomplished today.
I went to Margarita's surprise going-away party last night. Once she arrived, it was fun. There was food, and we played a medical trivia game (she's going to med school in Poland) and she got prizes for how many answers she got right. We also all chipped in to get her a stethoscope. :-) It's cool, and has her name on it. :-)
I confess, I'm a bit annoyed at the host for not being there to set up the room and, oh, *unlock* it, before the guests started arriving.
But. There were extenuating circumstances for why that happened.
However. Note to self: If ever I'm planning a party for a week-night, I should take into account the fact that a lot of people work until 5pm, and that includes people not coming to the party who will, none the less, provide a big heap of rush-hour traffic for all the guests (and me) to get through. Therefore, I should schedule the arrival time at at *least* an hour after most people get off work. Preferably a little bit more than that.
Anyway. So that's my grumpy post.
Maybe some breakfast will help. ;-)
- Nam'ara,
- Amazon. :-)
