Planning Winter Solstice Dinner.
What does one serve with gnochi? (I have a spiffy new recipe (and a spiffy heap of squash with-which to make it) for winter squash gnochi. But I need something (vegetarian) to serve it with. Any ideas?) I may just use it as a bed upon-which to serve the roasted root veggies. Which, at least, would make things simpler. :-)
There will be cornmeal brioche, squash soup (w/ shiitake mushrooms), beans from the garden, roasted root veggies, this gnochi stuff (possibly served with something else). And then there will be mandarin oranges + some sort of chocolate & berries thing for dessert.

Also. I could be wrong. But I think to be "vintage" something has to be at least twenty years old. Vint-age? (Just my thought). :-)
