(no subject)

Today I'm having my Mom over for a birthday-dinner. (Also her friend Lesley, who kindly got me and Paul a wedding present -- very early-- of beautiful flatware, napkins and placemats).

There will be:
Squash soup
Chicken done in apple juice & couscous (possibly with some red peppers as well)
Steamed asperagus
Garlic Bread
and
Summer Lightening Cake (which is "quick cake" (chocolate and/or vanilla, not sure which) from the Joy of Cooking, topped with PC raspberry 'gelato' (a dairy-free sorbet, really) and raspberry-strawberry coulis. :-)

The Wine will either be an off-dry Reisling from Cave Springs or a Pinot Grigio from Jackson-Triggs. :-)


Also on the agenda for today:
Attend the ME-Dance sale, see if I can find a cheap jingle-belt (I hope so), and talk to Trish of TAV about (A) May beginners dance classes, and (B) having her make my wedding dress.

Hopefully this will be fun. :-)

Also: Deliver birthday gift (once it is found, of course) to Kalisti! As it is his birthday today. :-)
