Or: Wedding Gifts A-Go-Go
While in Ithaca for a loverly family reunion (my favourite auntie referred to me as her 'little girl', and said she was 'prepared to weep' as I walnder down the isle in a couple of days... aw...) Paul and I recieved an utterly gorgeous set of wooden bowls. Woohoo! :-D
They have purple-heart wood in them. Score! :-D
They are lovely and pretty and shiny (well, glossy) and nice. I likes 'em! :-D
In other wedding-related news (and this close to the wedding, what news isn't, really...): I have minor burns all over my face.
How intelligent of me...
I've currently got a liberal coating of halichrism italicum essential oil all over my face -- and the redness is going down -- but I am seaking suggestions (aloe-vera gel, I hear, is available at pharmacies -- as are a couple of really good burn-creams -- I think I'll be paying a visit tomorrow morning, before I start in on the cake-making madness).
But anyone have any ideas? :-)
[Edit: The burns are all gone! Halichrism Italicum works wonders!]
Anywhoo.
I've got a sister-in-law-to-be dropping by in a few minutes to pick up Paul's wedding gift (she's doing the grunt-work for it -- woohoo!) so I'd best be off. :-)
Marisol, Kate, Bronwyn, Cat, Ami: You wanna come by at 6pm tomorrow to help me spoon mousse? There will be food for you. :-)
- TTFN,
- Amazon. :-)
