My french is bloody aweful, but I'll give it a whirl. (Good luck reading this next bit, folks. Verb tenses are *not* my friends).


Donc, nous avons alle au Ville de Quebec pour notre lune-de-miel (that's what my french co-worker calls it, so I'm taking her word for it. Deal).
Nous avons passe quelque jours (Dimanche a Jeudi) a l'Hotel Vieux Quebec au centre de la cite ancienne. C'ete aussi les jours de leur Festival d'Ete de Quebec, donc nous avons aller a les concert au Place d'Youville (tres pret de notre hotel).
Nous avons vu (??) deux groups, 'Broken Social Scene' (de Toronto) a Lundi, et 'Flook' (d'Ireland -- Kate, you'd like them, I think) a Mardi.

J'ai aime Flook un petit-peut plus, je pense.
Nous avons achete leur CD 'Haven'.

While there, we got a bunch of stuff:
I got a little black dress (knee-length, very cute, linen-and-cotton mixture with laces across the front) at the Boutique Ecalibor (one of the two medieval boutiques -- at *least* -- between our hotel and the Place d'Youville which was about five blocks away on St. Jean).
It was rediculously expensive, but it was all made-in-Canada, and all natural fibers, so I'm okay with that. :-)

We got a multiple peppers jelly for Paul's parents, and a fig compote/chutney thing for my Mom. :-)

Paul got a painting -- really pretty -- it's like almost fractal, or something, with lots of deep blues and a heap and a half of varnish over top to make it really shiny! :-) We're not sure where we're going to put it yet. :-)

We also got two Broken Social Scene CDs and the one CD by Flook. :-) I wouldn't mind getting the other one some time, but we shall see. ;-)

Anywhoo, I need to eat something before I start the day's cleaning. :-)
