Plumbing, anyone? :-)

My kitchen sink faucet is messed up.

It's one of those 'lever' ones where you pull up on the handle and dirrect it to the left or right depending on what temeprature you want the water to be?

Well... The water is no longer coming out the faucet.
It's leaking out around the ball-joint of teh handle.

Anyone else had to deal with this?
How do you fix it? (Is it just a case of changing the washer? Or do we actually need to replace the bloody thing?

<*grumbles*> I don't wanna do the dishes in the bathtub! :-(
