So, today my Squash Trellis came down.
In its deffense, it was one (technically two, layered over each other) of those cheap assemble-on-your-own jobbies from Michael', so it wasn't exactly high quality, or the sort of thing that could hold the weight (heavier than I expected) of two or three different squash plants, and it was a good year old and had survived the ravages of an Ottawa winter.

So. I'm not too surprised that it came down.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to get it back up again (the screws buckled/snapped, as they are apparently wont to do -- the arch is toast). I tried to lift it back into place, and it buckled more.

Urg.

So. I need suggestions: How to I get my squash virtical again? (With minimal money spent, I might add). Preferably in such a way that I can do it myself, rather than roping Paul into helping me out during his total lack of any spare time.
The props need to be six or seven feet high, by the way. I can (normally) walk under the empty arch without ducking.
Any ideas? (Ami, I'm looking at you -- you're good at this technical stuff. :-)

In other news: I got new clothes from work:
One below-the-knee A-line black skirt (with a belt, though I don't know if I'll wear the belt with it).
One knee-length flaired black fine-courderoy skirt with raspberry-coulis/raspberry-sorbet embroidery on it (it's *pink*! I haven't owned any pink clothing since grade... nine? Possibly earlier than that...)
Two lace-trimmed camisols. One in that raspberry coulis colour, and one in a really nice dark teal. (I kinda think it brings out my eyes, but I could be wrong).

Still. I think I look snazzy. :-)
I hope the raspberry coulis colour goes well with my ruby red lipstick. :-)

In still other news: I'm meeting an 1110 student tomorrow since they've got questions about the course. Whee! :-)

- TTFN,
- Amazon. :-)

Currently reading: The Great Mother Goddess (Sjoo/Mor)
Just finished: Savage Breast (Ward)

Re: Savage Breast. It's interesting. One man's search for the Goddess (as journey of self-discovery). Personally, I think he gives Jeung a little too much credit, but what-ever. He seems to grow out of it (a bit) by the end. I'd be interested to hear impressions from other people who've read it, particularly guys, since it is from a guy's point of view.
Any takers? :-)

- Ta,
- Me. :-)
