What Color Are You?

BLUES are motivated by INTIMACY, seek opportunities to genuinely connect with others, and need to be appreciated. They do everything with quality and are devoted and loyal friends and employers/employees. Whatever or whomever they commit to are their sole (and soul) focus. They love to serve and will give freely of themselves in order to nurture others lives.BLUES, however, do need to be understood. They have distinct preferences and occasionally the somewhat controlling (but always fair) personality of a confident leader. Their code of ethics is remarkably strong and they expect others to live honest, committed lives as well. They enjoy sharing meaningful moments in conversation as well as remembering special life events (i.e., birthdays and anniversaries). BLUES are dependable, thoughtful, nurturing, and can also be self-righteous, a bit worry-prone, and emotionally intense. They are like sainted pit-bulls who never let go of something once they are committed. When you deal with a BLUE, be sincere, make an effort to truly understand them, and truly appreciate them.

Well, I am not remotely surprised. :-D
Not even a little bit. :-)

Gnerk.

Well, I'm in a fine fiddle.

I just read Namaah_Darling's "To the Cat in the Doorway" (which is about a cat who died), so I'm all teary-eyed and what-not.

Compounding this is the book I'm currently reading.

Fingersmith

I've just started in on Maud Lily's story and, frankly: Spoilers of a sort )

Anyway.
So I'm feeling rather... eugh... right now.

Does anyone else get like this? You read a book, and you start feeling how the book/story/characters are feeling? Like, I was reading The Madame a few months ago, and I had to stop because it was telling me such awful things about men and marriage, and I just thought "this can't be helping my current, recently-married, situation in the least". Neither did The Bride Stripped Bare (which I picked up and tried to read... maybe two weeks before my wedding?).
I read books written with an accent, or a particular historical setting, and the slang, the mannerisms, and all the rest of it start creeping into my own language (bodily or vocabulary, both I mean).
So, currently, my vocabularly is being influenced by both ends of the 19th Century, and a great deal of sadness, stress, misery and betrayal.
I curtsied to a co-worker today, for the love of all good things.
I mean, really.
:-\

Anyway. So. Yes. Eugh.

I think I shall watch Sense and Sensibility, and write a letter, and try to cheer myself up. :-)
