Have badgered the temp agencies.
Have sent a note to one of the guys who wants to take portfolio shots of/for me -- basically telling him that he'd need to find studio space down town in order to be able to work with me 'cause my house is totally not suitable and he's coming in from out of town. So we'll see if anything actually comes through on that one. (Handily, I've still got the maybe-for-pay-but-maybe-not shoot on the 17th, so *that's* a good thing).
[EDIT: Have heard from said photographer -- he's thinking "artistic nudes" (fine by me) in a house with pretty furniture. Anyone up for being a photo-buddy on January 4th? That's a Sunday.]
I'm currently (well, okay, not right this second) trying to figure out how to use the voice-recorder on my mp3-player -- I sent off an inquiry for a piece-work job introducing stuff on an online-tv chanel. I have no earthly notion what the content is, mind you.
But the audition involves up-loading pictures and video/audio recordings and I am currently lacking a digital video-recorder (or a web-cam, or what-have-you). So the audition would have to be audio and pictures, and I'd see what happens from there.
Randomly: If you want to have coffee at the Umi Cafe, please do so (feel free to invite me along). They could do with the support. (You know how that goes -- if you can get through the first year, you're okay. If you can get through the first *three*, you'll be fine for ever. Well, they need help getting through the first *one* before they can aim at three).
Anywhoo. That's the plan for next weekend. I bloody-heavenly hope I get some actual day-job work (that, y'know, reliably pays me money...) in the next week. I'm, ah, more than a little nervous about that. :-\
