Question:

Does the direction "northwest" (or north, or west, for that matter) have any significance in South-Indian Hinduism or Santeria?

Suggestions for google-searches I might try for this would also be appreciated as I seem to be having Google Fail today.
So... My character, Lori? I've found her three Goddesses to work with (she's fairly eclectic but tends to stick more or less to her own heritage):
Oya, Kali and Sekhmet.

All of whom, I *think*, have some link with the dead and/or the land thereof, but none of whom are explicitely linked with crows.
Inconvenient, that, but they fit her really well.

This doesn't necessarily matter much for the short story, but for the novel version... it may come in handy. Not possitive, but maybe.

[EDIT: Sex scene done, orgasms at least somewhat satisfactory. Have tweaked the contents of the story to mention the goddesses in question. 1,000 words to go -- Miz Amazon needs to up her writing speed if she's going to get Nanowrimo done, particularly since her sweetie will be visiting for most of November, FYI -- during-which time I have to go from "What do you mean 'they're not tattoos, they're me'?" To "See you in Montreal" and, maybe-just-maybe a crow-feather added to the charms in Lori's hair. Suggestions? Wish me luck!

And now: To get myself to Burlesque class. :-) /EDIT]
