Birthday party was awesome. Lisa fell asleep on my shoulder. :-)
Massages were given, food was devoured (gods, what a wonderful spread - you should have seen the cake! Fruit and chocolate and custard and *everything*... brilliant), conversations were had, fandom was discussed.
Damn, what a wonderful night. :-)
Stayed out until 2am, fell asleep happy, woke up feeling non-disgusting (which is rare after a late night with a glass of wine) -- So, yay! :-) I think the outing did me good. :-)
This morning: I edited Paul's latest book manuscript. (He's written one on self-diagnosing vitamin and mineral deficiencies for a course he's teaching in a couple of weeks). It needs some re-arranging, but it's easy to follow.
It occurs to me (to my surprise) that I *might* have a calcium deficiency. I've got about half of the listed signs for such a deficiency, plus a high protein diet (which I have) makes it harder for the body to absorb calcium.
I shall invest in some figs (mmm, figs), and see if that makes any difference. :-)
The lovely and brilliant Ami_B is coming over in T-minus-two-hours.
Must clean/tidy and get food.
