I seem to be on an Annie Lennox kick lately.
Not that this is a bad thing at all. :-)

(I've always really enjoyed "Walking on Broken Glass". It's so peppy in tune and yet so sad in lyrics. I like that combination - angry/sad music with hopeful lyrics and/or peppy/perky music with sad lyrics... They make a lovely mix, and this particular song also includes fun strings (I think) and syncopation, so it's doubly wonderful. :-)

I went to the TGIO party, and spent a few hours talking, for the most part, about fanfic, published authors who are also fic-writing fangirls (well, generally girls, anyway), and Gorgeous Women Over Forty.
Really, I couldn't have asked for better conversation-fodder if I'd tried. ;-)

I have to say, it's really nice to find out I'm not the only under-thirty woman who looks at a woman with silver-shot hair or laugh-lines around her eyes, and thinks Ooooo, so pretty...

[...Later...]

My fella is downstairs watching Matrix:Revolutions (part of me wants to sneak down and join him, part of me wants to keep listening to music - I like Maori songs, they're pretty - and writing fic. We'll see what wins. ;-)

Tomorrow morning is Slashers' Brunch. I think I'll be going. (I can take the O-Train to a few blocks away, hurrah). It's a bit worrying... This past week has involved a fair bit of eating out, in one way or another, and tomorrow morning will be no different.
It adds up.
Part of me is going "This could be a problem, um..."
Another part is going "You're about to have a huge increase in weekly income. the... sixty dollars, or whatever it's going to tally up as, is going to be covered really easily. As long as you don't make a habit of this, it should be fine."
Which is a great thought, but I still can't shake the feeling of "uhm...", so, yeah. There it is.

Anyway. Time for me to wander off, whatever I decide.
