The Scoop:

In addition to this nasty piece of business (Bill C-484) that would open the door to illegalizing abortion in Canada[1], the asshole bastard Tories have now come up with Bill C-51, which would, among other seedy things, make upwards of 70% of Natural Health Products illegal.

My husband, among other things, is a herbalist and aromatherapist.

THIS IS HIS LIVING.

Check out the Legal Review of Bill C-51. Especially page 6, regarding the new definition of "selling" as an open door to the prosecution/persecution of Natural Health Practitioners, and page 7, regarding "controlled activity" (which would include growing and harvesting "therapeutic products" -- such as, say, the Purple Cone Flower, peppermint, garlic, rose hips, yarrow, and other plants found in many local gardens).


My point: If all y'all Canadians would kindly send in a huge barrage of letters opposing Bill C-51 (and Bill C-484, actually, that'd be super), it would be really appreciated. :-)
