Sooooooooo...
Tomorrow is my last day at this job.
:-P
Obviously, I have nothing lined up for Monday (as of an hour ago, anyway).
Still, here's hoping I get something (and damn quick, please! None of this 11th hours stuff, if You All don't mind!) before the end of, say, the month. (Yeah, I know. Not likly. But hopefully I'll get something before the end of the first week of September. And something long enough to make me feel secure and my potential/future landlords feel happy about letting me live in their building).
On the plus side: NSERC just gave me an ice-cream cone. :-)
So things could be worse.
There is a meeting (which I may or may not have to attend - see above, but also: all I'm doing right now is formating name-tags. Not such a big deal, that) in 15 minutes.
And then there are appartment viewings.
I'm going to see Idioglossia's place tonight. Whee! Here's hoping it's as perfect and beautiful and well-sized and affordable as she says it is.
I confess, I'm a little worried. See, the website for the building says that *everything* is over $900/month, except the really small one, which is $825. Idioglossia's appartment is not the really small one. But she's paying far, FAR less than the website suggests is the rental price for any of the other units. So I'm hoping that she's right and the website is wrong and/or I misread it. Because this could work out and lay all my fears to rest, or it could be another bunch of high hopes totally dashed. But, obviously, I'm hoping for the possitive. ;-)
- TTFN,
- Amazon. :-)
