For the very first time.

I'm glad I got the chance as it's apparently his last gig in Ottawa.

He's moving back west now that his writer-in-residence thing at Carleton U is over.

He's really funny, and I like the way he tells his stories. He's like... If Stewart MacLean was a generation younger and a lesbian, that's how he'd have turned out.
I think, as such, that I may have to buy one of his books. (I didn't buy any books tonight because the lineup was huge and figured... Beh. It's not like VE is going to stop stocking this stuff in the next week or so. I think I can come in another day, when it isn't quite this busy).

I should also note: Meghan Butcher was the opening act. She also told a really funny story about a kegger and some guy falling drunkenly in-fatuated for a lesbian. It was hilarious.
She also read some of her beautiful smutty poems.
The kinks she writes about are... surprisingly like my own, from the other dirrection. Miss Sara, had she attended, probably would have liked them a lot.

In other news: I am making (vegan, 'cause I didn't feel like beating eggs and dirtying another bowl) waffles for breakfast tomorrow.

Yummy! :-D

Also: I got my first Life Organic box delivered today. I now have four pears, three oranges, seven kiwis, two packages of various exotic mushrooms, two sweet potatoes, a couple of heads of broccoli, half a pound of green beans, a whole bunch of garlic, one avocado, and a litre of apple cider.

Not bad, if I do say so myself. Not bad at all.

Anyway. there you have it. I shall have waffles and peach sauce for breakfast tomorrow, and a pear (and some cheese and rye bread, among other things) for lunch. I may do baked sweet potatoes and sour cream for dinner, but I'm not sure yet.

Have a good night everybody.
