So, Paul and I went and saw Underworld last night. :-)

Thank you to Yann and his lovely friend for giving us their tickets. :-) (World Exchange needs to get their machine fixed). I think I saw Ironstar sitting at a table with someone, but I'm not sure.

What I thought of the movie:

It's an eye-candy action flick. :-) No thinking involved.

The wardrobing is a little... cliched... if you ask me (no vampire woman is *ever* without her corset -- not to say that they weren't beautiful corsets, but still... It's hard to run in those things...) And there weren't any female werewolves... Which was... odd...

It's a predictable (although not *qiute* as predictable as I thought) plot with occasional bouts of Really Bad Acting. However, if you're looking to kill a few hours (2h45 in total) with a movie involving shiny black clothing and Fun Special Effects, then this one is kinda fun. I would suggest getting it on video, though. ;-)

Having said that:

In regards to the Whitewolf WoD stuff: I may have missed it, but they didn't appear to be using the term "embrace" (certainly not in the WoD technical term sense, anyway).
Also: The word "abomination" is used by a specific character as a description, not as a technical term (similar to "That mixed-race child is an abomination" as opposed to "'Abomination' is a Wizard word for children who come from muggle-Wizard parents").

As for the book plagerism (or other Whitewolf language used, although I don't think there was-- if so, it wasn't obvious to me) I haven't got a clue. (I haven't read that book, so I couldn't tell you).

Other Stuff:

There is a cute song that runs during the closing credits. :-) I'd like to find out what it is.

Regarding the description of "blade meets the Matrix" --> yeah, pretty much...

I have to say: Terry Pratchett's Coutness von Uberwald has a certain appeal in that she *doesn't* limit her Vampiring Wardrobe to shades of black and red (and pearlescent grey)...
(I realize, given my own wardrobe, that this sounds a little bit... Mm. 'Hyprocritical" is such a harsh word... ;-)

Lutius (The Alpha? ;-) looks a bit like Moria. :-)

That's it, that's all. Off to go shopping for Mabon Dinner. :-)
