Well, I listened to the other CD I got at Charles de Lint's garage sale.
I'm impressed.
The CD is "Shores of Avalon", by Tina Malia.
Basically, if you took Jane Siberry and mixed her with equal parts Lorrina McKennit and Sarah McLauchlin, and then made the resulting artist openly Pagan, you'd have Tina Malia.
Woohoo! :-D
I really, really, like this album. Everyone else who would like the above mix of styles should go out and buy it. :-) (She has another album of Indian puja-type chants, and I don't know what that's like, but this one is really, really good. :-)
So yay! I scored on that one. :-D
Anywhoo. In other news: I've started making another sari (two, actually). I've got most of the red (well, really sort of a rusty claret) one done. I just need to hem the ends and add about, say, 2" (or so) of trim, and then I'm good. Some long, beaded fringed wouldn't be bad, but I'd like something that could safely go in the wash. ;-)
The third one is going to be blue, so some silver trim wouldn't be out of place.
Maybe I'll try my hand at making jewellery today. ;-) (Or, then again, maybe not. ;-)
Paul's still feeling sick. But he can stay in bed until 2pm today. (He's skipping school this morning, like he did yesterday, because mornings are worse for Crohns than afternoons, and he's really not doing too well).
I think it's good that he's staying home.
I worry that he's going to burn himself out or something. <:-\ Anyway. I'm going to go and have a much-needed shower, and then on with my day. :-) - Nam'ara, - Amazon. :-)
