Because I am a Switch-o-phile, and an Annie fan, I felt a need to link you all to this picture.

What, were they separated at birth? ;-)

In other, Annie-related news: "Songs of Mass Destruction" is excellent. "Dark Road" and "Lost" are both particularly beautiful. :-)

In still other (unrelated) news: Vice Versa is, thus far, proving to be an interesting and engaging read, despite the fact that (so far - I'm barely into chapter two) I've heard/experienced a lot of this before. None the less. Yay. :-D

Tomorrow night is Solstice Dinner. It may prove to be a rather small affair - I think I've had one "Yes, I'm coming" of all the invites I've sent out. Everyone else is out of town. :-P (Not that I'm begrudging anyone their family time or anything. I'm just feeling mopey. Really, I should be relieved that I don't have to cook as much food. ;-)

Talking of food: Today was my office luncheon. At Grace O'Malley's, just out past Uncle Louis' near St. Laurent mall.
We did a wacky gift exchange wherein people can steal each others' gifts or get an as-yet-still-wrapped gift from the table. I got a bag of cookies + a game of Twister.
I think the Twister will be going to my sister (hehe - I made a rhyme...) and the cookies will go to, say, the food bank. Or something.

A gal named Tiffany got the holly-shaped candle sticks I brought in. I don't think she was entirely thrilled but, well, a lot of people weren't *entirely* thrilled, so I'm not all that worried.

All that said, I think I may skip out on this sort of thing when next it comes up. Better to have the afternoon off, I think, than to sit around waiting and listening to people talk about softball.

<*shrug*>

Anyway. Time to hit the kitchen.
