Well, I got my highlights today. :-)
They're very subtle and look like little ribbons of cassis or blackberry-ripple running through my hair. :-)
I'm quite happy with them (though I wouldn't have been disapointed if they'd been a *bit* more obvious, I've only got a few of them so it's probably better that they don't stick out like sore thumbs).
Anyway. One thing I will say: Rinaldo? Faboo. Johnathan (who did my hair today)? Bit of a condescending jerk.
<*sigh*>
I have no bloody idea why, in *any* way, he thought that implying I was both ugly and stupid would somehow convince me to do what he wanted. Dumbass. Playing off of socially-ingrained feelings of insecurity and self-loathing in order to convince me of your 'inherent' superiority as a hair-stylist is *not* gonna work on me.
For fucks sake. :-P
Anyway, I didn't put it quite so bluntly, but I think he got the message and did what I told him which, big fucking surprise, looks just *fine* thank you very much. :-)
So, there. :-)
Victory! :-D
I do, however, like the side-part he did on my hair. It feels a bit wierd, and tends to fall in my face (more-so than just the much-shorter-than-it-had-been center-parted hair did, even), but it looks good, so I'll give it a shot. :-)
Anyway, that's my story.
Tomorrow night is dinner with my Mom (for her birthday -- which was last Sunday -- I have to wrap her present, but that won't take long).
Saturday night *might* involve having my favourite aunty and her wonderful son over for dinner as they're (possibly, depending on the weather and the driving conditions) coming up specifically to go skating on the canal. :-)
I hope they come. :-)
(Plus: It will give me a good excuse to tidy up the living room. ;-)
