Bathroom is looking good.
Things left to do (in Phase One of Project Bathroom Makeover):
- Paint two towel racks with the "hammered finish" metalic spray paint
- Paint side of cabinet and baseboard of cabinet with "Elise" blue paint
- Re-attach cupboard handles (and towel racks - replace copper screws w/ steel)
- Spray everything with water-proof top-coat
- Remove plastic sheeting from walls and floor
- Wash floor (and toilet, and bathtub, and, well, everything) w/ TSP
- Dress room w/ black towels and wash cloths, + white beeswax/scented candles in black dollar-store votive-holders.
Things to do (in Phase Two of Project Bathroom Makeover):
- Protect everything with plastic drop sheets
- Knock out existing bathtub-stall tiles
- Shovel it all into a big plastic garbage bag
- Sand down the walls of the bathtub? (I'm not sure if this is needed, but it probably is -- Ami? Do you know about this stuff?)
- Clean everything off in preparation for grouting and tiles
- Re-tile bathtub stall w/ 6"x6" white tiles, accented with a band of black and light-blue (preferably "Elise" blue -- although I'm not holding my breath) pre-fab mosaic "sea glass" style tiles.
- Allow to dry
- Remove all plastic sheeting.
- Clean bathroom
- Re-dress with above accessories + anything else we've aquired
- Enjoy new bathroom by having a nice bath featuring "waving not drowning" bath bomb from Lush + a glass of wine (or possibly lemonaid)... :-)
Whee. :-)
- Nam'ara,
- Amazon. :-)
