I just joined an LJ community for University and College Pagans.

This may be interesting. It didn't mention anything about it being for students only, so I'm wondering if there are any profs on there. :-) Hm. :-)

Anywhoo.

Paul did, indeed, come home with new clothes last night (and pizza for me! Yummy!) His Dad took him birthday shopping, and he got three pairs of pants, a pair of socks, a nice shirt, two belts (one of which is black mock-crocodile, which is kind of cool), and a pair of brown shoes that have a really nice in-sole. They look to be quite comfortable. :-)

Today I am "on-call" for a shift at work. (I confess, I'm kind of hoping I don't have to go in). Paul starts his 24-hour relay-for-life shift tonight. He has to supervise the reflexology section of his school's portable clinic for the whole 24 hours of the relay.
I don't like this.
I mean, yes, he gets 24 clinical hours all in one go (which is necessary, because he's the clinic supervisor at his school, which means that he can't actually work in the clinic while he's there <*grumble*>), but it means that he's up for 24 hours straight, having *already* been up for a whole day because the relay doesn't start until 8pm or so.
Gah!
I don't think it's healthy.

I got a book out of the library: "The Versatile Grain and the Elegant Bean". It has some history and flavour descriptions of a lot of different beans and grains.
It's good. :-) (It also has recipes, although not many are vegetarian -- which surprised me when I first got it out).

Anywhoo. It's time for me to call work to see if I'm in today or not. :-)

- Nam'ara,
- Amazon. :-)
